Dr. Byrd is a tough teacher. She believes in a "sudden death" grading system. Basically, if you miss any of the deadlines or fail any of the major assignments (even if your cumulative grade is still passing), you instantly fail the course. This, of course, provides excellent motivation for students to get their work done on time!
