Some think Haluska is the worst thing that ever happened to them, but I would disagree! I enjoyed his Comp 101 class, and he seems sincere in trying to help students succeed. However, if your grammar is less than perfect, HE WILL DESTROY YOU! I strongly recommend having a couple friends who are good at English proofread your papers before turning them in. I did this, and I did very well in the class. If you want to learn something, take his Comp class (even if you think you're good at English, as I did.) If you don't care and just want an easy A, then find a different teacher!
Haluska is fabulous. He knows his stuff and makes sure you know it too. If you have any interest in literature or writing, make sure you take a class from him. If you're like me, you'll want to take every possible class you can from him. He's not easy, but it's worth it. He has so much knowledge and makes it enjoyable and understandable. His classes utilize history and religion with the central topic to give you a well-rounded perspective on the subject. You will definitely get your money's worth if you take a class from Dr. Haluska.
